An individualist who beneath the exterior of a normal nerd hides the heart and soul of a maniac. An aspiring telecommunication engineer and an amateur philosopher, who reveres science and trusts human reason. Who also respects the beauty of personal faith and cherishes the mysteries of life. Who extracts immense pleasure from the exuberant beauties and myriad diversities of nature. Who, above all, worships the human spirit and considers it the savior of mankind.
He’s an avid reader and his readings refuse to be confined to a specific branch of knowledge. All knowledge is his province, as Da Vinci puts. He’s an adventurer and a romantic spirit and his personality would be best identified by the description the great Charlie Chaplin used for himself:
“A tramp, a gentleman, a poet, a dreamer, a lonely fellow, always hopeful of romance and adventure.”
Never giving up. Always hopeful. Struggling to make a way. Cherishing the memories and striving for better advents.
Writing is a way of catharsis to him. He writes for himself, mostly – memories, aspirations, views, joys and sorrows, and this blog is the gateway of ceaseless thoughts on diverse subjects.
keep the maniac inside…….it really hurts if it escapes….
in my life, i failed to find an inspiration……
i try to be myself……..but dont know how much successful i am
In that case, trying finding other maniacs like yourself and enjoy life! =P
And cartoons
I really loved the introduction (:
Especially the first two paragraphs and the concluding quotation.
some don’t even realize the potential within them and waste their entire lives looking for an inspiration outside.
I guess I’m in face of a similar situation these days :l
Hi Umer,
Ali Syed of tribune.com.pk here.
I’ve read a few posts on your blog and was interested in knowing whether you would want to write for our site, as we are about to launch our blogs section.
We’re developing a list of bloggers (all sorts, all topics for our various categories/sub-categories) and thought you may be up to the task. Also, we allow cross-posting i.e. bloggers can submit pieces they have written for their own blogs, as long as they indicate that the piece was originally published at XYZ url.
You can contact the web desk regarding blog posts here: blog@tribune.com.pk
Or just get back to me directly at ali.syed@tribune.com.pk
As we are now among Pakistan’s most visited sites, it is a big opportunity to reach a lot of people and receive feedback (or even traffic back to your own blog)
Your ability to observe, reflect and write in a seemingly effortless way is truly remarkable. The poetic way in which you express yourself does seem like a cathartic process. So, I am eager to know whether it’s a natural talent or an aquired skill for you? Sincerely inspired and looking forward to reading your blog.
Sauda
